PA 6
PA (polyamide) is an engineering plastic with excellent mechanical properties and good wear resistance. PA is also extremely tough, which makes it particularly appropriate in wear applications.
One of the main disadvantages of PA is a very high water absorption. This has to be taken into account depending on the exact application.
The best-known brand name is Nylon.
Different grades are available: PA 6, PA 6G, PA 6.6, PA 6.6 GF30,….
